War of Tolican
The setting
In the aftermath of a stifled rebellion, the remnants of a once-majestic royal planet drift past, a somber spectacle for the captive rebel Drakos and his council. Shackled within the bowels of Terris, they can do nothing but watch as their home galaxy cluster, Tolican, spirals into chaos—a region once vibrant with life now lay sprawled out naked in view of the rest of worlds, utterly obliterated by El’avar and his host for their rebellion against Elloheim.
Amidst this cosmic turmoil, a group of the Eldar led by Kelligorn, harbor a quiet sympathy for the rebels' cause and cast their gaze upon the beleaguered Tolican. Moved by a sense of duty to the once honored lands and perhaps a latent rebellion in their own hearts, they petition the divine council for the right to shepherd the ruined cluster. Secretly, they seek to wrest it from the grips of the consuming fire’s empire. Granted stewardship, these Eldar work in the dark neglected reaches of Tolican, unchecked by the council. As their power grows and momentum builds, they see an opportunity. Here, in this forsaken corner of the cosmos, they begin to conceal their progress and lead Tolican on their own path away from the way of the council. They weave together the remnants of shattered worlds, kindle new stars to warm cold, dead planets, and sow the seeds of life anew, envisioning a renaissance for Tolican.
As Drakos and his council watch from their cells, there's a flicker of something that had been perilously close to being extinguished: hope. In the Eldar's defiance, there lies a promise of resurgence, of a future where the flames of rebellion might once again be kindled, this time perhaps, to burn brighter and reach further than ever before.
After decades of apparent stagnation in Tolican, Talmus and Ehluvina are sent to inspect the progress of the region. They discover a hidden breakaway civilization and on their way to send their report, they are ambushed and crash land on a remote planet of Han-Tu with forces of the rebellion closing in.
They befriend a local nomad, Gratis Von. In decisive moment after the rebel forces catch up to the trio, Gratis Von is given divine power, the Cai, for a moment to help the fleeing Eldar. Upon their escape and return to the empire, Ehluvina and Talmus present Gratis to the council and it is revealed the consuming fire has appointed Gratis as the first Elmin to be granted a time in the future where he will wield the power of the Eldar.
